The WISCOMP Forum Series is designed as a series of structured conversations on specific issues, intended as an exploratory exercise for WISCOMP’s non-traditional security research agenda. The Forum Series raises new issues and new perspectives in this work.
A select and small group of practitioners and scholars are invited to submit essays highlighting issues, challenges, perspectives/ programs and sharing their experiences. These are compiled and circulated among the participants to enable the sessions to move forward. Those invited to submit essays lead the discussion sessions with succinct ideas that create a framework for the discussion.
Since its inception, Chaitanya-The Policy Consultancy in Chennai has organized the series for WISCOMP.
Wiscomp
was established as part of the efforts of the Foundation for Universal Responsibility
to build a culture of coexistence and nonviolence that is gender-sensitive
and inclusive. A not-for-profit, non-sectarian, non-denominational organization,
the Foundation promotes universal responsibility in a manner that celebrates
a diversity of beleifs and practices, and that contributes to a global ethic
of nonviolence, coexistence and gender equity. The work of the Foundation
is global in its reach and transcends nationalist political agendas.
