Education for Peace and Multiculturalism:

A WISCOMP National Workshop for Educators

April 12th – 13th, 2008


The workshop on Education for Peace and Multiculturalism is being organized by WISCOMP as a part of its Peacebuilding programme. It will bring together 40 school educators, scholars and practitioners from different parts of India to explore theoretical and practical perspectives on the role that educational institutions and school teachers can play in building a "culture of peace". The Workshop, it is hoped, will provide space to build synergy between theory and praxis of education for peace within multicultural societies. It will also enable educators to network and build partnerships.
